8dp3dt: Not Altogether Negative
This morning, I rose to new levels of two week wait insanity. Because yesterday's test was the only one in the house, and because I didn't have an opportunity to buy more yesterday, I wasn't going to test again until tomorrow.
But there's something I didn't tell you about yesterday's test. When I took the whole thing apart at 15 minutes post-pee, there was absolutely nothing there. Three hours later when I checked again before posting here, there was a grey line, but it was just so clearly an evaporation line. Then a few hours later, I looked AGAIN (oh, come on, you've done it too) and the line was decidedly pink, not grey. It wasn't enough for me to actually be hopeful, but it was certainly enough to make me toss and turn all night wondering how I was going to manage to wait another whole day before testing again.
So this morning, BEFORE peeing (except in the middle of the night), I drove to the grocery store and bought two three-packs of First Response tests. I rushed home, peed all over the stick and the toilet seat and my hand (perfect description, Alexa) and a very, very faint line showed up pretty much right away. It's very faint. Very, very faint. Fainter than the faint line I saw at 12 days past IUI when I was pregnant with G. (but that was a day later than I am now). Fainter than the line on the test I took the morning of my miscarriage last summer. But when I showed it to H., he saw it immediately.
This is, obviously, by no means the end of the story. But even the faintest of faint lines at this point in the game is a good sign, right? It could certainly be worse.
Please, please let this work. Please.

May I be the first to say it: a line is a line. It sounds VERY promising!
(This is Em from the TTC 2,3, 4 boards BTW-I stumbled across your blog by accident, and I'm enjoying it.)

It's a good sign, a very, very good sign. Hope that line gets stronger and the beta numbers are nice & high!
I'm happy for you. Keep us posted!

Don't you hate how there are no absolutes for us?? For a "normal" person, a line is a line instantly. No evaluation. Pregnant is as pregnant does. Bah.
I'm thrilled for your line, and I hope it keeps getting stronger.

That's indeed a good sign. A line, however faint, is excellent.
